Spring/Summer walk in the Cirque de Troumouse today in the Pyrenees National Park
We woke to clear skies and much more seasonal temperatures today so we took the decision to head up high (2100m), to one of our favourite spots, the Cirque de Troumouse to play in the last of the now fast melting snows. It was a good choice, the Cirque was wearing its best white hat and looking superb! The marmots and isards even came out to play:
We had some top notch reflections first thing before the winds picked up.
Cheeky Marmot No 1 of the day
Reflections of the La Munia peak (3133m), and the Sisters rock formation.
Cirque de Troumouse and the tiny figure of the Notre Dame des neiges.

Brebis grazing on the first fresh green grass of the season.
The tracks of lazy voles… The voles make little tunnels under the snow pack in winter and line them with hay to avoid having to dig the ice!

The rivers and waterfalls are impressive with the warm weather restarting the melt.
