Whilst hiking with us or in conjunction with a trek or day trip many families might like to sample some of the many activities that are available in the region. With have long running relationships with many great guides and activity centres, we would be ahappy to reccomend lots of options for all ages.

The Pyrenees offer something for all families, whatever age your children are. You can either do independent holidays, enjoying gentle walks, lake and river-side picnics, wildlife parks and cable cars, Ski lessons start from age 4 - February 2012

Are there any age restrictions for activity holidays?

We recommend that for a skiing holiday 4 years old is the minimum age. Our local ski-school will teach children from this age for up to a couple of hours a day on the Grand Tourmalet resort’s well-equipped nursery slope. English speaking instructors are available and your child will be with a group of a similar level and the same language.

Many of our walking holidays are suitable for 12 years +, if they are active children who are used to hiking and enjoy being in the mountains.

General medical advice is that for children under 12 years old, it’s inadvisable for them to do more than 6 hours of continuous, strenuous activity in one day.

As part of a bespoke walking holiday we can tailor-make an multi-activity holiday for you and your family, where you pick from a range of activities

These tailor-made trips are a great way to have a family activity holiday that everyone will enjoy. We just need a minimum group of four. Please contact us for more details.
