The Pyrenees are breathtaking in Winter - with towering white peaks, deep shadowy valleys packed with snow, and bright hillsides basking in the Wintry sun. The French Pyrenees are a playground for skiers and boarders, with huge ski areas set amongst stunning scenery. For the more daring visitor though, a stone's throw from the resort, the wild mountains are totally untouched. A few minutes journey on snowshoes or touring skis will find you in a perfect, silent wilderness . 	Skiing at the Tourmalet resort Skiing holidays at the Bareges-La Mongie (Tourmalet) resort - the largest ski area in the French Pyrenees. Over 100km of piste for skiers and snow boarders of all abilities.
	Off piste ski & snowboard Guided off-piste skiing and snow boarding in and around the Tourmalet resort. Including the world-renowned descent of over 1000m from the spectacular Pic du Midi. 2-day or 6-day itineraries.
	Ski touring & telemark Guided or independent itineraries for proficient skiers looking to expand their horizons. Introductory training close to the ski resort, right through to multi-day refuge tours in the Pyrenees National Park and the Neouvielle Nature Reserve.
	Snow shoeing Explore the wild Pyrenees on snowshoes. Day or week-long guided itineraries. Follow the tracks of ermine, hare, isard and foxes into the untouched wilderness of the Winter mountains.
	Ice climbing The frontier cirques of the Pyrenees have some of the best ice-climbing in the world. Use our accommodation as a base for your own climbing trips, or let us arrange a Mountain Guide so you can learn the basics in the hands of a local expert.

We are open all Winter as a base for skiing at the Tourmalet (Bareges-La Mongie resort). We are always happy to organise day activities for skiers (snowshoeing, dog sledding, paragliding, skidoo driving etc), or a week's guided itinerary for ski tourers, off-piste skiers and snow shoers (groups of 4 or more).
