Ice climbing in the Pyrenees

The world famous Cirques of Gavarnie and Troumouse, with some of the best-known ice climbing routes in Europe are just 40 minutes drive from us here in Bareges. Ice climbing trips are available for clients staying at our accommodation. We are happy to arrange guided ice climbing days with a local, fully qualified "Guide de Haute Montagne" (High Mountain Guide), and we can also provide transfers and local maps and information. Private guiding prices in the Pyrenees are around 280-300€ per day (often 350€ or more in the Alps), which includes all equipment and safety material.

Group sizes: 2 people minimum (max. 8 per guide) and 2 or 1 per guide for higher level, technically advanced routes.

A taster "initiation day" is available for 70€ per person for guests staying at our chalet, for those of you wanting a very different ski holiday!
